Welcome to our Practice
Our practice specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, adults and families, for anxiety, anger, divorce, grief/loss, sexual abuse, trauma, ADHD, school/life adjustment, behavioral and emotional issues, as well as parent child relationship training.
Melissa Z. Williams is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Georgia. She also holds the Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor credential from the Association for Play Therapy. Ms. Williams has over 15 years of experience counseling in a variety of settings including public and private school, in-patient residential child psychiatric unit, and special needs adoption. Ms. Williams uses a variety of treatment modalities (play, sand, creative expressive, cognitive behavioral, and client centered) in order to help each individual become his or her best self.
Ms. Williams has a solid understanding of everyday life challenges, and the pathways to help the client uncover solutions to gain growth and inner strength. She strongly believes in the relationship between the therapist and client, and treats each client and situation with the utmost care. Mutual trust is imperative to successful therapy.

It is my goal as a therapist to help each person become their best self. My practice is two-fold, and I work with clients of all ages. My specialty with children and adolescents centers on those who are struggling with anger, anxiety, grief/loss, abuse, self-esteem, school adjustment, and social skills. I have 15 years of experience counseling in a variety of settings; including public and private school, in-patient residential, child psychiatric unit, and special needs adoption. Although these environments can be very different, one thing is clear - our children face many challenges in their everyday lives.
